This day will always be one of my favs. This was my first time meeting McKenzie & Sam, and I felt like I was laughing through out the entire shoot! This was actually their wedding day as well, but they wanted to do a first look session before the wedding so that they could have photos of them up in the canyon as well. We decided Tibble Fork was a good spot to do photos because it was close to where they were staying. We met up around 7 am and took photos all throughout the reservoir, it was seriously stunning. I was a little worried about the lighting, hence why we woke up so early for these photos, but we ended up having cloud coverage and it made for the prettiest lighting. We also got to go down on the rocks by the water cause the water level was so low and there wasn't really anyone around. McKenzie also brought a couple of her bridesmaids to help during the shoot and it was so nice having them there. I always highly recommend bringing someone that can help with your dress and hair during the shoot so that we can take as many photos as possible! We ended the shoot at the top of Tibble Fork (it's a little bit of a hike) and it was breathtaking with how good they looked and how beautiful the scenery was.

After we finished up bridals at Tibble Fork, we went up to the Bountiful Utah temple for their ceremony. With LDS weddings, photographers are not allowed in the actual temple, so you mainly get them coming out of the temple and everyone celebrating! We started with family photos and then did photos of the bridal party. Everyone there was so fun to work with and it was great weather! We finished up photos at the temple with just McKenzie & Sam and it was so pretty! There were a few other brides there, but luckily we were able to get so many pictures with no in the way. I had to do a little photoshop on the big temple photos because someone decided to park their car right in the front :))))) After we were finished at the temple we went over to the reception which was held in McKenzie's Aunt's backyard. It was so beautiful! They had the most beautiful silverware and dishes at every table, and I loved that they used so many different types of dishes. They also had classic songs playing like "They Way You Look Tonight" and "At Last". It really felt so cozy. We cut some cake, mingled, and danced. While they were doing their first dances, and the parent dances, it started raining! Luckily it wasn't a ton of rain, but I love how pretty it looks in the photos. McKenzie & Sam didn't complain once about the weather the entire day, and I really admired them for that. We ended the night with a rice throw exit and it started down pouring during that! Luckily that was the very last thing of the night so it all worked out. This wedding was so fun to photograph and I was so grateful to work with such amazing clients!
