I first met Meo & Thao when I did their engagement photos back in July, so when it came time for their wedding day I was so excited to work with them! I flew in the day before the wedding with my second shooter Lacy, and the weather could not have been more perfect. We stayed in San Diego and their wedding was in Coronado! The morning of their wedding they had a tea ceremony with all their closest family in both of their houses and it was so cool to experience that and to be able to take pictures of them.
After the tea ceremony we headed over to the hotel where Meo & Thao were getting ready and it was such a beautiful hotel! They took shots with all of their friends there and it was so fun to see all their friends just so excited for them to get married. We took tons of photos of Meo and her bridesmaids and then we took photos of Meo putting on her dress!! It was so fun to see her as a bride and she was just glowing. When then headed down to Coronado where her ceremony was taking place. We were a little late, but since we were late the lighting was perfect the entire ceremony.
After the ceremony was over we did bridal party photos and family photos and the sky even turned pink during those photos!! It was breathtaking and such a beautiful way to start the reception. For the reception Meo & Thao had a grand entrance with all the bridal party and then we partied the night away with dancing, cake cutting, and so many fun games. Towards the end of the night Meo & Thao did a private first dance and it was so special and intimate. It was so fun seeing how in love they were on their wedding day and how happy they were the entire day. It is always such an honor documenting milestones like weddings for my clients. All in all, it was a perfect day!
