Doing Lauren & Jared's elopement in Petoskey, Michigan was truly one for the books! I had never been to Petoskey before, and it is seriously the cutest town! We started the day at their Airbnb where we did getting ready photos of the two of them, and I could not get over how cute all their wedding details were. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, and it was such an honor to photograph their whole day with just the two of them. We then did their first look, and Jared's reaction to seeing Lauren in her dress for the first time was so special to capture. They were both just so giddy and excited to get married! We then did the cake cutting inside the Airbnb and went off into town to take photos of the two of them before their ceremony.
We started with taking photos on a sailboat! We weren't able to go out on the water because of how windy it was, but it was still so fun to take photos of the two of them on the boat. After we were done with the Sailboat photos, we went downtown and did more photos there of just the two of them. Since Petoskey is a city that is largely populated only in the Summer, the whole town felt pretty empty which was amazing for photos! We got photos with pretty buildings, flowers, an old train station, and so much more! We even stopped at a Pretzel shop along the way and they were tasty.
We then went to the spot where they were planning on getting married and did some photos around that area. It was a beautiful overlook with so much greenery and so many options for photos! It was seriously stunning. Once it was time for the ceremony, we met up with the officiant and one of Jared's friends from work who was the witness. It was so special to be able to photograph this intimate ceremony of the two of them and it was also fun to finally celebrate!! They tied the knot and it was so special to be able to photograph it. We then ended with sparklers and they even had matching sweatshirts made for the occasion! This elopement was truly so special to be able to photograph and I'm so happy with how these photos turned out! Lauren & Jared are an amazing couple and this day was a 10/10!
