Julie & Kevin- Bridals

These bridals scream classy to me. Julie reached out to me awhile back and explained her vision and what she wanted for her wedding photos perfectly. Communication is so important when working with a photographer. I believe that's why her photos turned out so beautiful! These photos were actually my first full indoor shoot for bridals so, not going to lie, I was a little nervous. The Historic Court House in downtown Provo, UT is a perfect spot for naturally lit bridals. Also, it is STUNNING inside. Marble everywhere and massive columns. It was exactly how she wanted it to be. The key to getting photos well lit in indoor spaces is to shoot around 1pm-3pm ish. This allows for plenty of light to come into the building and then you don't have to use an external flash.

Another fun element of this shoot was Julie & Kevin changing into their traditional Vietnamese wedding attire. I had heard so many amazing things about Julie's dress, I was so excited to see it! We did two first looks, one with each dress. Kevin's reaction to both dresses was priceless. You could feel the love in that room when they embraced each other. It's so fun to watch how brides & grooms look at each other, and even more fun to capture that for them forever! We went around the entire courthouse in both dresses and it was so fun.

Julie was worried about how her dress would turn out in the photos and if it would cast a red shadow, but rest assured, it didn't. Picking a photographer who has experience in color correction & editing is so so so so important. Their photos turned out beautiful and elegant, and was perfect for these two. I recommend bridals to anyone thinking about getting them done. They eliminate so much stress on your wedding day, you get perfectly lit photos, and you get to wear your wedding dress twice ;)
